Not on the plans I recommend. On the current lineup (Basic / Core / Plus / Advanced), Squarespace charges 0% transaction fees on Core and above — only the entry Basic plan carries 2%. On the older lineup, Business carries 3% and the Commerce plans 0%. You always pay standard card-processing rates — in the UK from about 2% + 25p per domestic card payment.

A detail service businesses love: appointment payments through Acuity Scheduling carry no Squarespace transaction fee at all. I set clients up so Squarespace takes 0% of their sales. (Per Squarespace’s official pricing, June 2026 — terms change, always worth re-checking.)

Squarespace checkout supports Squarespace Payments, Stripe and PayPal — all major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and (in the UK) Klarna. That covers how the vast majority of customers actually pay. One honest limitation: Lithuanian bank-link (Paysera, Montonio) cannot be added to Squarespace checkout — by anyone, at any price. If bank-link is a hard requirement for your store, Squarespace is the wrong platform and I’ll tell you so on our first call rather than sell you a workaround. For everyone else, Stripe handles EUR and GBP seamlessly.
