The Goal

To give a solo tattoo artist in Šiauliai a website that carries the same weight as her work. Tattooing is a permanent decision, and most studio websites don't earn that level of trust — they show a gallery and a phone number. This one had to do more: explain how a custom piece actually gets made, make cover-up and scar work findable by the people quietly searching for it, and turn a nervous first-timer into someone confident enough to describe their idea in writing.

My solution

An identity built to match the ink
I built the site around deep green and antique gold with a hand-drawn gecko motif and a flowing script display face — the same visual language as her gift vouchers. It reads as an atelier rather than a walk-in shop, which is exactly what her work is.
Cover-up and scar work given their own space
Her specialisms — covering old or unwanted tattoos, and camouflaging surgical and other scars — are the work she cares most about, and they had never had a page of their own. I gave each one a named section written with real care, so someone searching for exactly that help lands on writing that speaks to them instead of a price list.
A four-step journey that removes the fear
Consultation, custom sketch, tattoo session, aftercare — laid out plainly so a first-time client knows what happens, in what order, and where the deposit sits. Most people hesitate because they don't know the process, not because they don't want the tattoo.
An enquiry form that starts the real conversation
Rather than a bare contact box, the form asks for the idea and the placement on the body. She opens each enquiry already knowing enough to reply personally — which is how she prefers to work, and it filters out the messages that were never going anywhere.
Gift vouchers as a page of their own
I had already designed her print-ready vouchers before the site existed, so I gave them a dedicated page rather than a footnote — so the person buying for someone else, a completely different visitor to the one booking for themselves, has a page that answers their questions: what it covers, how it looks, and that it stays valid for twelve months.
A studio that shows its own atmosphere
She works alone, with an aquarium, bright colours she chose herself, and room for a client's children to come along. That is her actual advantage over a busier studio, so the site says it plainly instead of hiding behind stock photography.
Findable for Šiauliai searches
Every page carries its own title and description written for how people in Šiauliai actually search, the studio address sits in the footer of every page, and every gallery image has a written description behind it — so cover-up and scar work can be found on Google, not only through Facebook.
